Daddy is a hand made work incorporating altered text from the Poet Sylvia Plath, rephotographed stills of gay adult films and transformed found family slides to highlight the link between various expressions of queer intimacy and paternal abandonment.
The differing visual elements, when paired together with the text, guide the viewer to contemplate the dynamics of desire and connection in gay and/or unconventional relationships as shaped by the influence of familial absence.
